About us

At AyurMatrika, our care model is not built on trends-it is rooted in timeless Ayurvedic scriptures that offer precise, stage-wise guidance for every aspect of motherhood and early child care. Our services are grounded in classical Ayurvedic texts that have been outlined structured care for preconception, pregnancy, and postpartum recovery-thoughtfully adapted for today’s families through modern, professional delivery that works seamlessly alongside modern clinical care, without interference, but making it complete and holistic by bridging the gap.

DR. K.C. BALLAL

BAMS, BSMA

AyurMatrika’s Foundational Mind

Dr. K C Ballal, a towering name in Ayurveda, wasn’t new to seeing medical systems evolve. With nearly five decades of experience, he has helped shape the global conversation on integrated health. With his feet grounded in classical Ayurveda and his vision spanning across 36 countries, he has been a lifelong advocate for a healthcare model that is both holistic and inclusive.

“We’ve globalized Ayurveda,” he once said, “but now, we must bring it back to our homes-where it first belonged.” That spark would become AyurMatrika.

As the former National President of NIMA (National Integrated Medical Association) and a member of the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM), Dr. Ballal helped institutionalize Ayurvedic education, elevate professional standards, and gain government recognition for integrated healthcare models. Yet, despite his prestigious accolades, what moved him most were the everyday gaps in care he witnessed at home-couples struggling silently with fertility, pregnant women navigating their journey without holistic support, and newborns raised without the nurturing rituals that once defined Indian families.

Throughout his career, Dr. Ballal has been not just a physician, but a teacher, policy influencer, and cultural ambassador for Ayurveda. His role in standardizing Ayurvedic education across India, making the BAMS curriculum accessible in English, and setting quality benchmarks for Ayurvedic institutions has impacted thousands of students and practitioners. Beyond academic reforms, Dr. Ballal has organized and led international conferences, presented research on integrative health models, and advised governments on how to harmonize modern medicine with traditional healing. His ability to speak the language of both Ayurveda and allopathy has made him a respected voice in both systems-a rare bridge between heritage and healthcare innovation.

DR. HAMSINI K BALLAL

BAMS

AyurMatrika’s Pillar of Service Excellence

A topper from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Dr. Hamsini K Ballal could have chosen a conventional path. But her calling was never about following—it was about reviving what was fading. With close to two decades of clinical and institutional experience, Dr. Hamsini has helped thousands of patients reverse chronic conditions, often weaning them off long-term chemical dependencies. She has built and led holistic health centers, delivered transformational care, and earned a loyal global following-thanks to her rare combination of clinical sharpness and intuitive healing. But it was her focus on women’s wellness - particularly preconception, pregnancy, and postnatal care—that gave AyurMatrika its heart. She saw how today’s fast-paced mothers were left without the cultural and emotional care they once received from their elders. She envisioned a care model that was not just clinical, but deeply human.

“A healthy mother builds a healthy nation,” she often says. “But first, she needs someone to care for her.”

Over the years, she has worked closely with women across varied age groups—from young couples preparing for conception to new mothers navigating physical exhaustion and emotional overwhelm. Her ability to offer empathetic yet evidence-based care has helped many women reconnect with their bodies and embrace motherhood with clarity, confidence, and joy. In addition to her clinical excellence, Dr. Hamsini continues to mentor young Ayurvedic professionals, guide AyurMatrika’s service protocols, and shape the organization’s vision for mother-centric integrative healthcare. Her leadership ensures that AyurMatrika’s care is not only rooted in Ayurveda, but also delivered with warmth, dignity, and professionalism. With that vision, she joined hands with her father to co-create AyurMatrika.

DR. PUNEETH SHETTY

BAMS, MS

Orchestrating Ayurveda with Modern Precision

Dr. Puneeth Shetty is a postgraduate in Ayurvedic medicine with nearly a decade of experience—but more importantly, he is a thought leader with a fire to bring Ayurveda services into structured, professional practice that fits seamlessly into today’s fast-paced lifestyles. Highly articulate, deeply academic, and refreshingly grounded, Dr. Shetty represents a new generation of Ayurvedic physicians who not only understand tradition but know how to translate it meaningfully into modern living.

“Ayurveda isn’t just medicine,” he says. “It’s a way of living that can prepare you for life’s biggest transformations—like becoming a parent.”

During his academic journey, he received accolades for his research on geriatric mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic, showcasing his ability to address contemporary health issues through Ayurvedic frameworks. His thesis on the psychological well-being of the elderly was lauded for integrating science, empathy, and cultural context-a skill that now drives AyurMatrika’s emotional care model. Beyond clinical work, Dr. Shetty has presented papers at national conferences, conducted workshops, and built strong community awareness around Ayurveda. He is known for his ability to communicate complex Ayurvedic ideas in simple, relatable language, making him a favorite among young families, expecting parents, and first-time mothers. With his visionary approach, research-backed thinking, and passion for public health, Dr. Shetty completes the AyurMatrika triad-bringing balance between legacy, clinical rigor, and the professionalism needed to deliver Ayurveda services effectively in today’s healthcare environment. His ability to connect ancient practices with everyday family life makes him a vital force in transforming how Ayurveda is experienced and applied in the modern world.

DR. VARSHA P

BAMS, MD

Specialist in Preventive & Lifestyle-Based Ayurvedic Care

With a strong foundation in classical Ayurveda and a passion for proactive health, Dr. Varsha brings her expertise in Swasthavritta—Ayurveda’s preventive and lifestyle medicine—to the heart of AyurMatrika’s care philosophy. Holding an MD in Swasthavritta, she focuses on creating sustainable health practices rooted in daily and seasonal regimens (Dinacharya and Ritucharya), personalized diets, yogic routines, and environmental well-being.

Her approach goes beyond symptom management. Whether it’s helping new mothers rebuild immunity, guiding couples toward conception readiness, or empowering families to align their routines with nature, Dr. Varsha works to create balance before imbalance arises. Her deep belief in “prevention as the highest form of healing” is visible in every interaction—structured, simple, and grounded in ancient wisdom.

“A healthy life isn’t just built in hospitals,” she says. “It’s shaped by the choices we make every day.”

At AyurMatrika, Dr. Varsha plays a key role in designing preventive care pathways that complement clinical services. From one-on-one lifestyle counselling to guiding Dinacharya-based recovery post-delivery, she ensures that every care plan is not only therapeutic—but also deeply sustainable. Her work helps our clients not just recover, but thrive—with awareness, discipline, and long-term vitality.

DR. MEGHA

BAMS, MD

Nurturing Deep Healing to Our Maternal Wellness

With a deep foundation in Ayurveda and advanced training in Panchakarma and Yoga Therapy, Dr. Megha brings a grounded, nurturing, and clinically sound approach to holistic healing. Her journey has never been about routine prescriptions—it has been about restoring the body’s natural intelligence and creating space for deep, sustained wellness. With over a decade of experience in therapeutic detox, rejuvenation, and women’s health, she has supported countless individuals through chronic fatigue, hormonal imbalances, postnatal exhaustion, and stress-related conditions. Through her work with postpartum mothers, Dr. Megha realized a powerful gap in modern maternal care: while babies are cared for clinically, mothers are often left to heal silently. Her practice focuses on that silent space—where Panchakarma, gentle bodywork, and therapeutic yoga can help rebuild the mother’s strength from within.

“Panchakarma and yoga are not just therapies,” she says. “They’re a return to one’s own rhythm.”

At AyurMatrika, Dr. Megha designs personalized care journeys that integrate classical cleansing protocols, restorative yoga routines, and nurturing touch—tailored to each woman’s constitution and life stage. Her approach helps women recover naturally, reduce internal inflammation, regain energy, and reconnect with themselves—emotionally and physically.

She plays a key role in AyurMatrika’s postnatal recovery services and supports the development of detox and restoration pathways across the care model. In a culture that asks mothers to bounce back quickly, Dr. Megha offers them a way to heal deeply, slowly, and completely—guided by the wisdom of Ayurveda and the compassion of experience.
